Key Leadership Roles

As a nurse leader in a large health system, I’m frequently participating in system councils to guide policies and procedures for the entire organization. This includes the system mortality review committee, emergency response collaborative, Code and rapid response committee, preceptor advisory council, and the hospital-acquired pressure injury reduction council. In my local facility, I am a member of the hospital-acquired infection prevention workgroup, quality review committee, shared leadership sponsor, complex case committee, patient safety, and quality committee, transformational leadership council, opioid stewardship council, ER to ICU throughput workgroup. Wrote multiple “standards” to support the Pathway to Excellence designation for the facility.

Although participation in various committees, councils, collaboratives, and workgroups has driven policies, procedures, products, and services, I do also lead several committees and collaboratives myself. I chair the critical care process improvement committee, the facility charge nurse committee, ER and ICU charge nurse collaborative, and the critical care collaborative.
